Organic Search Engine Optimizations (Natural Rankings)

Posted by seonotes in November 10th 2007

When you do not “pay for click” for SEO, your website has a natural listings. Natural listing indicates a value of 1,2,3,4 etc. on the search engine results page. Studies have shown that 85% of web surfers do not go beyond page 4 (This writer personally never goes beyond page 4!!) in search engine results.

This should alarm you to the fact that if your website is not configured for stellar natural listings with good keyword phrasing, tags and title tags, you will not see a high natural listing for your website.

Each search engine works differently and you should get to know the details of each one and submit accordingly. Natural listings in search engines result in higher ranking without paying for keywords and title tags.

According to recent studies, users on various search engines looking for business needs, goods and services perform over 700 million searches per day. That’s over 700 million potential clients who are not visiting your website unless you target your content, titles and keywords correctly!

Most businesses are gaining new clients through people finding their business online and are foregoing more traditional word-of-mouth, newspaper or magazine ads, billboards, brochures and fliers.

The Internet has changed the way a business needs to be marketed and smaller businesses that are not knowledgeable about Search Engine Optimization are finding that there is a resulting lack of profit in their business.

Google, Msn and Yahoo all work a little differently. Links, title tags and content on the website are the most important information for getting searchers to your site. Google, for example, will rank websites with 100’s of links over one with fewer links.

Search engines will also value natural content over “pay for click” advertising. Research online to find out the specifics of each search engine and become familiar with the specifics for each search engine.

Taking the time to customize your submission to each search engine will result in better results when potential clients and customers search for your business, product, goods or services.
